I will certainly be frank.

I totally wasn’t aware that there was an actual snack known as “Ants on a log”. Most of my cooking are general knowledge, and other ideas I pick it out from the internet and food network. Foods that I can actually make with no hustle of finding that same exact ingredient, but by using what you have and can acquire it locally.

Last weekend, I was trying to find out that meal or snack that I could make using peanut butter, without baking it. This is how I stumbled upon the “Ant on a log snack”.

Ant on a log – is a snack made by spreading either peanut butter or cream cheese on {the initial vegetable – Celery} or a half sliced banana.

Why this snack is healthy for you {adult or the child}, for the following reasons.

  • Celery is a vegetable and it has vitamins and mineral to keep you strong.
  • Bananas are a fruit and help overcome depression due to high levels of tryptophan, which is converted into serotonin — the happy-mood brain neurotransmitter, also protect muscle cramps during works outs. {So many other benefits}.
  • Raising are dried grapes. This makes raisins a fruit which has fibre to help you Poop without straining.
  • Peanut butter has proteins. We all know proteins builds muscle to make us strong.

-Peanut butter, whipped cream or cream cheese

-Bananas, carrots or Celery

1. Peel the bananas, then slice them into half.

2. Apply peanut butter on the sliced bananas.

3. Sprinkle raisins on top of the peanut and you can definitely serve it with warm milk {for the kids} or you can have it with tea/coffee.

Am just from having mine right now, for breakfast and it very VERY filling.

My final out come.

The alternative ingredient is Celery or carrots.

Happy Easter Holidays.

Love and Love.
