My favorite appetizer of all time has to be salsa, served with any food you can think of, but is best served with baked tortilla chips. Since you now know how easy it is to make tortilla wraps, its even easier to come up with fun ways to enjoy other dishes be it an appetizer, dessert or as a main dish. I am here to guide you tackle each and every possible recipe using ingredients accessible to most if not all of us.
Tortilla chips are basically soft tortilla wraps, cut in quarters, oiled and seasoned then either deep fried or baked and that is as simple as it can get.
You can serve it with whatever other ingredient you have at hand, guacamole goes well too. This is what I settle with, so stay tuned to find out more.

Prep time: 10 mins Bake time: 15 mins Total time: 25 mins
Serves: For 2 pax
For the salsa:
- 4 tomatoes – roughly diced
- 2 carrots – peeled and grated
- 1 bunch of spring onions – chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 lime – juiced
- 1 bunch of cilantro leaves
For the tortilla chips:
- 3 tortilla wraps
Spices & oil used:
- 4 Tablespoons of vegetable cooking oil
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 1 Tablespoon of sugar
- garlic powder
- cayenne chili powder
Important tools used:
- Baking tray
- An oven
- Pastry brush
- food processor
