As different as this title may sound like, having burgers -veggies and noodles in the same sentence sounds a little bit crazy but damn delicious if done right. When a brand like Indomie Kenya sends you a 3 months supply which is basically 60 packets of 120 g of instant noodles, trust me you will definitely feel the need to come up with a couple of new ideas from simple to crazy but fun yet damn delicious and out of the box type of recipes. This is me trying to be super creative with a little education and research from the internet in re-creating interesting and fun ways in cooking instant noodles from the normal way we’ve all being doing it.

With a little help from the basic available ingredients in my / your pantry / kitchen and a little time to spare, you and I both will soon be impressing our loved ones at the dining table and be the talk of the day, but for now, stay tuned and learn this new trick.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Prep time: 5 mins  Chill time: 30 mins Cook time: 8 mins  Total time: 45 mins

Yields: 1 fat Noodle veggie burger

Serves: 1 pax

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 packet of Indomie beef flavored Instant noodles – cooked
  • 1 tomato – sliced
  • 1 onion – thinly sliced – salted and caramelized ‘browned’
  • 2 eggs
  • Beef seasoning – comes with the noodles
  • Sweet chili dipping sauce – KFC leftover
  • Spicy Aioli sauce – Homemade

Important tools used:

  • Cookie cutters {of the same size if possible}
  • Fork
  • Heat proof spatula
  • Heat proof bowl
  • Mixing bowls
  • Chapati pan / Sauce pan
  • Stove


Step 1: Prep the egg + noodles – In a bowl, crack two eggs, add in the beef seasoning, and beat it well. Add in the cooked and cooled noodles to the egg mix, coat them well together.

Step 2: Assemble them in the cookie cutters + refrigerate – On a tray or chopping board, place two cookie cutter {Preferably of the same size} I didn’t have that. I took one large and one slightly smaller. At the center of each cookie cutter, place the egg -noodle mix in each to the brim. Place them in the fridge to chill and retain the shape for at-least 30 mins.

Step 3: Cook the noodle egg mix – Fry them for at least 2 mins on each side or until they are golden brown. As they cook, place a heat proof bowl over to cook with the steam and remove it once you need to flip and cook the other side.The video should guide you.

Step 4: Serve and dig in. – You’ll definitely need a fork and knife to enjoy this.
