Can you smell the waffles??

After searching for a waffle maker for a month now, yesterday I finally added this little kitchen gadget to my stash. Excitement GALORE!!! I rarely go out partying so what I normally do with the money I was “Allegedly” suppose buy drinks and enjoy my night out, I decide to buy kitchen gadget that I don’t already have and my dream sofa. Anyway, story for another day.

I got home ready to make waffles for the first time. Prepared everything, and well ……..stay tuned to see for yourself on the results.

Part 1: Making “Cinnamon -Banana Waffles” {First time}

Prep time: 5 mins   Cook Time : – 15 mins   Total time:  20 mins

Yields /Serves : – 4 pax

*Main Ingredients*

– 1 cup of all purpose flour

– 2 peeled bananas

– 1 Tsp of cinnamon

– 1/4 spoon of salt

– a bowl /sufuria

– 4 Tsp of sugar

– 1 cup of milk

– 1 egg

– 1 Tsp of Baking powder

– 3 Tsp of vegetable cooking oil {Sunflower}

– Ham {For the sandwich part}

– Chocolate Syrup { Toppings}

– Castor sugar

1. Place the flour in the sufuria/bowl, add all the dry ingredients to the flour and mix well.

2. Mash the bananas until is smooth enough. {Used a fork}.

3. Add in the milk to the flour mix, oil, mashed bananas and mix really well to get batter.

4. Pre-heat your waffle maker, before anything when it hot and ready, apply oil to the waffle maker. This is to avoid the waffle to stick.

You can use any utensil to scoop the batter and pour it to the waffle maker, Even an ice- cream scooper”.

Make sure not to overflow the batter on the waffle maker, it will pour out once you close it. There are two buttons on the maker. When it turns green the waffles are ready for them to be out.

Final Outcome:

To the waffle experts out there, are the waffles suppose to look like this??

Mine got burnt or something. I believe I was watching “The Run’s House”.

Anyway…. I placed two slices of ham, then closed it up, sprinkled castor sugar and chocolate syrup.

“Can be eaten as a dessert, or any other meal anytime of the day, perfect to make a sandwich with it.”

I will be making a part 2 of this, during the weekend to perfect  it.

Any tips from any foodie out there??

Feel free to leave a comment.

Love and Love.
