I totally understand when people say, that they never get filled up after eating pasta/spaghetti, since its really annoying if you can’t scoop the pasta with your fork {Very irritating ..right??} Most people end up changing meals for something else. Though what I would crave to know, is how to eat with chop sticks

” Susan Wong, will you teach me to use chop sticks?”

Anyway, …..this creamy avocado pasta will guide you to swirl and scoop the pasta so easily using your fork, with totally no difficulty. The avocado helps a lot.

Not only Vegans enjoy this dish, the meat lovers will definitely love this dish!!

How to make ” Creamy avocado pasta with nuts”.

Prep time: – 5 mins     Cook time: – 15 mins    Total time: 20 mins

Yields/ Serves = 3 pax

*Main ingredients*

– 1/2 a packet of pasta/Spaghetti

– 1 ripe avocado

– Mixed nuts {Optional}

– a piece of grated ginger

– 1 sliced tomato

– 1/2 a lemon – Lime juice

– 1/2 tsp of vegetable oil

– 1/4 tsp of butter

– Salt to taste

– grinder- for the nuts.

Method

  1. Medium heat a pot with water  with cut out pasta for 8 mins. Drain out the water, while still hot, place in the butter and mix well. Set aside.
  2. Cut out the avocado, into quarters and peel out the skin. Cut it into smaller pieces. Use your blender to make a puree {Blend it out}.
  3. When the avocado is all smooth, squeeze the lemon into the mix, add in a pinch of the grated ginger. Blend it once more. Place it aside.
  4. Pour the avocado puree mixture to the spaghetti and mix well.

5. Then serve with any garnishing or toppings that you have. I used my sliced tomatoes and sprinkle mixed nuts.

SERVE WHILE STILL HOT.

FYI:

This dish is not exactly low in calories, it’s full of monounsaturated fat which in studies have found to lower cholesterol and it is thought to prevent inflammation.  Avocados are also loaded with 20 vitamins and minerals including vitamin E, vitamin C, folate, fiber, iron and potassium, plus they taste amazing.
