Its about time to say good bye to microwaved popcorn and hello to stoved up flavored popcorn. This version is a new possibility of enjoying endless flavor using your everyday ingredients. Trust me, you will never microwave popcorns no more.

First I will give you the ultimate guide to making the best popcorn, without burning them or leaving out some kernels are the bottom.

Thereafter, I will make my two favorite “Flavored popcorn”.

How to make the “perfect popcorn”.

*Main Ingredients*

-1/4 cup of popcorn kernels

-3 table spoons of vegetable oil {or canola oil}

-a pot /sufuria

-Salt

Part 1:

*Method*

  1. pour in the the oil into the sufuria/pot, then medium high heat the pot. Place 2 popcorn kernels into the pan, when they pop – this is how to know if the oil is hot enough.
  2. Add in all the kernels {once they are coated with the oil}, immediately cover the pot.
  3. Listen closely, once you hear the first few pops, pick up the pot and give it a good shake. Make sure your “Paws or hands are covered with a kitchen cloth or oven glove.
  4. Keep alternating the shaking 10 sec on the heat {after few pops} then another 10 sec off the heat as you shake. {This is the ultimate guide of making sure all the kernels pop, and none is left behind and let them burn evenly}.
  5. Once the popping slows down, this means the popcorn is ready. Switch off the heat, wait for the last pop {still covered}, give it a 30 secs , remove the lead. Let it cool off. This is the best time to add in the salt.
  6. Before we serve, lets make the different flavored PC.

Part 2: Making Flavored popcorn

A. ” Chili + Savory version“.

Prep Time: 2 minutes    Cook Time: 3 minutes    Total Time: 5 minutes

*Main Ingredients*

-a bowl of popped popcorn

– salt

– hot and sweet sauce

-chili flakes {optional}

*Method*

  1. Add salt to the mixture {You can totally skip this step}, but I like mine really salty. Give two twirls of the hot and sweet sauce to the PC  {Popcorn} and mix well, then the chili flakes come in last as the topping.
  2. Serve when ready.

NB:

“This flavor is not for the faint heart, super chili flavor. I love chili, so this is just right for me”.

B. Sweet,  cinnamon, chocolaty and a pop of vanilla.

Prep Time: 8 minutes   Cook Time: 8 minutes    Total Time: 16 minutes

*Main Ingredients*

-a bowl of popped popcorn

– salt

-1/4 stick of butter

-3 Tablespoons of sugar

-2 pinches of cinnamon

– 1 tsp of vanilla extract

-chocolate syrup

*Method*

  1. In a sufuria, melt butter. Add sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Heat until slightly thickened.

  1. Pour mixture over popcorn, replace lid and shake until popcorn is coated.

  1. Allow to cool completely as you sprinkle chocolate syrup.
  2. Enjoy!!
