Fried Battered Apple rings
They taste and look like an apple donut.
These fried battered apple rings are one of the simplest desserts you could possibly make within a short time.With the option of using any type of apple of your choice, what’s better than that? A fancy lunch bite for the kids maybe? Well, I just dished out an idea for you. They’ll love it.

Making “Fried battered apple rings”
- 2 apples
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 Tablespoons of sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of buttermilk
Important tools used:
- Mixing bowls,
- fruit scoop
- chopping board
- fork /OR/whisk
- Frying pan
Step 1: Prep the apples
Peel the apples, and slice them into thick circles. Core the middle to resemble a donut.
Step 2: Make the batter
Mix all the dry and wet ingredients separately first. Pour the wet to the dry and combine to form a thick but smooth batter.
Step 3: Heat the oil
Heat some cooking oil into a frying pan over medium high heat.
Step 4: Coat the apples + batter
Dip the apples into the thick batter and generously coat them. Make sure to remove the excess batter and place the coated apples into the hot oil to cook for at least 1 min each side or until they turn a golden color.
Step 5: Serve and enjoy
You can opt to serve them as they are or, make some cinnamon sugar and coat them with it. These are meant to be eaten immediately. Apple generally contain moisture, they longer they sit, the more they become soggy.
The apples still have their crunch, but cooked slightly and my Oh my!! delicious. Bon Appetite!!
