Over the weekend, I was doing my house shopping, and I finally got my own potato masher -Yeeeay!!. This made me super excited, though I didn’t put it to use that weekend, I managed to finally use my new tool for yesterday’s dish.

How to prepare:
Garlic mashed potatoes with Sausages.
*Main Ingredients*.
– 10 potatoes
-Sausages [Any kind}
-1/2 bowl of milk
-3 cloves of garlic
– 1 medium onion
*Other ingredients*
-Black pepper
-Chili
-salt
-2 table spoons of Vegetable Oil
– Butter
– 1/4 glass of White “sweet”wine {4 Cousins}
-Soy sauce
*Equipment you will need*
-Potato Masher
-Grater
-Big bowl
– Knife
– Pot
-Frying Pan
*Method*
- Wash the potatoes first, peel and cut them into quarters.
- Boil water into a pot, add in the cut potatoes, a table spoon of salt, then let it sit to boil until tender for 30-35 mins. Cut the onions into rings and place aside.
- Bring out the sausages, and shallow fry them together onion rings until golden brown {You can grill them}. When they are almost ready, add in some soy sauce, white wine and keep frying for another 2 mins.
- Check on the potatoes, if they are a bit fluffy {don’t allow it to be soggy} and ready, remove them aside, pour out the water and let them cool for 5 min.
- Before you start to mash, grate the garlic, add it to the fluffy potatoes, add a 1/2 tsp of red chili powder, 1/2 tsp of black pepper powder, then start M.A.S.H using your potato masher.
- Make sure to mash thoroughly until very soft with no lumps. Add in bits of the 1/2 bowl of milk while mashing.
- Cut a cube of butter, add in into the mix of mashed potatoes and mash all the way for 10 mins.
- When ready serve.
