Delicious chocolate heaven in a cup is what I refer to as drinkable comfort food. You can never go wrong with a tall glass of hot chocolate, covered with sprinkles of cinnamon and color pop marshmallows. Perfectly served in a cold morning or evening or whatever time of the day you prefer. Within minutes it’s ready to be indulged with probably a croissant – OMG! food porn galore.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Prep time: 8 mins Total time: 8 mins
Yields: 1 tall glass
Serves: 1 pax
Main Ingredients:
- 500 ml of whole milk
- 60 g of dark semi-sweet cooking compound chocolate – dairyland
- 2 Tablespoons of dark alkalized cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon – Tropical heat
- Haribo chamallows white and pink marshmallows
- Melted chocolate – Garnish – OPTIONAL
Important tools used:
- Sauce pan
- Large whisk – Heat proof
- Cup / mug /glass
- Measuring bowls
- Stove
Instructions:
Step 1: Over medium heat, get your saucepan hot and ready. Pour in your milk to a hot sauce pan. Bring the milk to a simmer – when the little bubble start to form around the edges. Add in the cocoa powder + chopped chocolate + cinnamon. Reduce the heat to low, and immediately and continuously whisk everything together to melt every thing for at least 5 mins. Don’t allow the mixture to form a skin, continue to mix vigorously. Bring it to a boil for 2 mins, turn off the heat.
Step 2: Serve the mixture into a glass cup or mug. Top it up with some marshmallows, drizzle some melted chocolate, sprinkle cinnamon and enjoy!
