On a daily basis this is what I normally consume from the moment I wake up. Before I leave for work “Since I am trying to beat traffic and avoid being late”, I either make the normal BLT sandwich, the casual peanut butter and Jam kind of sandwich or I buy a lemon poppy muffin or an almond croissant “DELICIOUS” at my favorite coffee cafe in town -Kaldis coffee house. During lunch time, I mostly have well salted french fries, sometimes I eat pilau with veggies at Aisha’s food at Jamia mall and I take it down with warm water. I basically don’t believe in having three meals a day. My body gets bloated most of the time I get consume three meals for a consecutive number of weeks, so I opt on having two proper meals per day – a heavy breakfast being the most important meal of the day and depending on how full I am at that moment, I get to choose if I will have lunch or a late dinner. What I snack on most of the time is -crackers, mixed nuts, crunchy chocolate lunch bar or cheese and onion potato crisps.

Starting this week, I will be preparing light dinner of fruits and /or vegetables or fruity drinks and probably be sharing that with you guys on Instagram or Snapchat.

This brings me to today’s late post. Its all about the fruit vibe.

Making “Pineapple Smoothie Bowl”.

MAIN INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 ripe pineapple
  • 1 kiwi – sliced
  • 1 banana – sliced
  • 1 apple – sliced
  • 1 cup of straw berries
  • Shredded desiccated coconut
  • White chocolate bars

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cut the pineapple into half. Store the other half in the fridge for a later use.¬†Using one of the halves’, take all the flesh out and store it separately. What remains is the shell of the pineapple.

2. Wash the strawberries, and cut out the green leaves, place in the blender, add slices of half a banana to it and blend them together. The banana is to add flavor and build a more thicker body for the strawberries.

3. Pour the blended strawberry mix into the pineapple shell, add the sliced fruits of your choice and assemble them to your liking. For other garnish: I used, white chocolate bars, shredded desiccated coconut, and my homemade bounty chocolate bars -get the recipe here.

Remember, the fruits I have used you can switch them up to what you like or whats available to you. Smoothie bowls are about the nutritional value, and pop of color.

The more color on your bowl, the more people eat with their eyes.
