With just  five important ingredients, you’ll get to create a sweet wholesome vegan, super healthy and keto friendly date caramel sauce that will literary go with a number of fruits, dessert, and breakfast meals.

Once blended make sure to store it in an air tight glass jar and refrigerate it until the need to use it.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Prep time: 2 mins  Blending time: 1 min  Total time:  3 mins

Yields: 350 ml

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 -1/2 cups of pitted dates
  • 1 -1/2 cups of steaming hot water
  • 1/4 lime – peeled
  • a strip of the lime rind – 1 cm
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Important tools used/needed:

  • A powerful blender
  • a glass mason jar
  • spoon


Step 1: Prep the blender – by adding the liquid near the blade. Then the rest of the other ingredients follow – salt + dates + lime + lime rind. Cover and blend everything for a min, until you get a smooth, silky consistency + the color changes to a dark brown.

Step 2: Serve the mixture – by scooping or pouring the mixture into a glass mason jar. You can decide to serve immediately with sliced apples or pears, drizzle on some ice – cream, substitute it for sugar in your baked goodies, add in your oatmeal or any other possible edible scenario.
